Trump's tariffs on Mexico have succeeded despite not having gone into effect yet. As a result Trump has canceled the tariffs and Mexico is putting more effort into policing its own southern border and stem the tide of illegals who are passing through Mexico and going into the United States. Without having to do anything more than tweet Donald Trump has scored a realpolitik victory over Mexico.
